At a recent Constitutional Affairs Select Committee reviewing the 2024 General Election, two Liberal Democrat MPs challenged the government over its inaction at rectifying our electoral systems.
Today we are our publishing our first public edition of Fair Votes Watch, a regular digest of news and analysis about electoral reform that we send to our MPs and staff leadership.
Last week, cross-party MPs, including our own Lisa Smart, debated Proportional Representation in the House of Commons and called for the establishment of a National Commission to investigate and recommend a change to the current flawed system.
