Join the Campaign to Fix Politics

People are frustrated, disengaged and no longer trust politicians, because the country no longer feels like it works for them.  We need to change that before it's too late. 

Public services need long term solutions, businesses need stability, protecting the environment requires accountability, every community needs proper representation, and all voters should feel their voices are heard - that their votes matter. Our current political system is failing us on all fronts.  

When your car breaks down you don't change the tyres - you fix the engine.  If we want to fix politics we need to fix the engine that drives it - the voting system.

At a time when the country is deeply polarised, and the two-party system has been shattered, the current voting system makes things worse, not better.   The latest local election results prove it.  Lib Dems in Richmond won 100% of the seats with 51% of the vote.  Reform in Wigan won 96% of the seats available on 46% of the vote.  In Wandsworth the Labour party won more votes than the Conservatives, but fewer seats! 

Now imagine results like these in the next general election.  Our voting system is more likely than ever before to hand unchecked power to one party on a tiny share of the vote - sidelining millions of voters, leaving the majority of the country voiceless and angry.

Whichever party “wins” under the next election - the majority of the country loses. 

That is why we need fair, equal votes before the next General Election. We need a voting system which forces politicians to work together, and to govern for the whole country, not just the loudest minority. 

Fixing our politics isn’t a side issue - it’s a central to fixing everything else.
